KNCSB Annual Meeting
Kansas-Nebraska Southern Baptists are urged to make plans now to attend the 2017 KNCSB annual meeting. It will be held Oct. 9-10 at Webster Conference Center, Salina, Kan.
Important note: The schedule has changed for this year’s meeting. The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, and end at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
It is important for your church to begin now to consider electing messengers and alternates.
Churches may now pre-register messengers on line at http://kncsbevents.org/AM2017.html
Sept. 7 is the pre-registration deadline.
KNCSB mailed an annual-meeting information packet to Kansas-Nebraska Southern Baptist churches. A second information packet will be mailed in August. It will include cards for messengers to fill out and bring with them to the meeting. Note: Do not mail the messenger cards to KNCSB.
There will not be a convention headquarters hotel. A limited number of rooms will be available at Webster Conference Center. Reservations may be made starting Aug. 1. There will be a link on the WCC website
Child care will be offered for babies through fifth graders. Oct. 1 is the deadline to register for child care. Register on line
Here is a list of session times:
Monday, Oct. 9
1 to 4:30 p.m.—Session 1
The first part of this session will be devoted to business. Then breakout sessions on various topics will be offered.
Tentative breakout session topics are:
- The Prodigal Church or the Imperfect Leader
- Multiplying Leaders in Your Church
- Praying with Purpose
- Women’s session
- Bivocational conference
- Disaster relief
6:30 to 8:30 p.m.—Session 2
This session will feature the keynote address by Jared C. Wilson. He is director of content strategy for Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, managing editor of “For The Church,” and director of The Pastoral Training Center at Liberty Baptist Church, Kansas City, Mo.
Tuesday, Oct. 10
9 a.m. to noon—Session 3
This session will feature the annual sermon by Jermaine Pennington, pastor of Victory Community of Faith, Wichita, Kan., and the president’s address by Joe Stiles. He is pastor of First Southern Baptist Church, Lawrence, Kan.

2019—Oct. 14-15 at Parkview Baptist Church, Lexington, Neb.
